Champagne Pommery Brut Rosé Royal

This delightful and prettily packaged rosé is a faithful variation of classic Pommery Brut Royal created through the assembly of a red wine made with this in mind, and different wines vinified in white, within a greater proportion of Chardonnay. You'll enjoy its fine bubbles and notes of red berries, florals and a dash of citrus giving a lovely freshness. It's perfect as a Valentine's day gift, and as an aperitif, or with poultry, shellfish and a berry-based dessert. £50 from Champagne Direct.

Aspasie Tradition Champagne

This is a gorgeous example of a fine rosé champagne with a complex nose and light spice. An assemblage of two different crus with reserve wines, it has fine bubbles, great length and an intriguing combination of wild strawberry, orange and quince notes. It's dry and fresh and the perfect champagne for any spacial occasion - including Valentine's Day - either as a gift someone will love, or to share together in style. £42.95 from Sacred Spirits.

Jenkyn Place Rosé Brut

We're big fans of this super brand. This is a wonderful example of a fine English rosé wine. It pairs beautifully with seafood and berry based desserts, and perfect as an aperitif or celebratory toast to enjoy with your loved one. £35 from Jenkyn Place.

Liquid Diamond Prosecco Rosé

For those who prefer Prosecco to champagne, this is a lovely example. We love the fact Liquid Diamond Prosecco is suitable for vegans and also that the company, which has collaborated with adorable TOWIE star and TV personality Amy Childs, donates to mental wellbeing charities too. The bottles are pretty and are ideal as thoughtful gifts. Notes are of raspberries, cherries and blueberries. It's perfect enjoyed as a celebratory toast, or as an aperitif, or paired with seafood and fruit desserts. £20 from Liquid Diamond.

Pale Fox Prosecco Gift Set

The award for the most gorgeously designed bottles AND packaging of pretty much all wines we've ever seen has to go to Pale Fox. Their Superiore Coupe Pack is a wonderfully elegant gift for someone you love. It contains one Pale Fox gift box with their flagship highly acclaimed Superiore Prosecco and two very pretty signature gold-rimmed coupes. These coupe glasses feature the Pale Fox logo which is believed to have its origins way back in the1600s. As well as looking lovely, the coupe glasses are practical too as the wide circumference of the rim prevents excess carbon dioxide build-up above the glass, which is believed to cause unwanted bitterness on the palette. £49.95 from Pale Fox.

Hattingley Valley Classic Reserve NV

This wonderful highly acclaimed Classic Reserve English sparking wine is a perfect gift or drink to celebrate with. It's an excellent example of just how great our own wines can be. It's pale gold in colour with delicate long-lasting bubbles. The beautifully complex bouquet combines aromas of green apples with creamy nougat, freshly baked brioche and delicate toasted notes from ageing in bottle. To taste you'll find notes of soft lemon sherbet, biscuit and light citrus. It's refreshing and perfectly balanced and an ideal aperitif. It's guaranteed to make any Valentine's Day celebration extra special. £30 from Hattingley Valley.

Sea Change Prosecco

This multi-award-winning Prosecco is wonderfully crisp and refreshing with a fine perlage and aromas of bright stone fruit and pears which follow through to the delicate light-bodied palate. A lovely sparkling treat to share with a loved one on Valentine's Day. It's perfect enjoyed as an aperitif or as a match with seafood or desserts.

We absolutely love the fact the company really strives to help save our precious oceans too. They do this through the removal of the unnecessary plastic wrap around the cork, the use of renewable plant-based closures and the paper for the labels coming from certified sustainable forests and made partially from grape waste, AND by making a donation to marine charities from every bottle sold. £12.99 from Sea Change.

Bolney Wine Estate Cuvée Noir

For something dark and delicious for Valentine's Day celebrations, do try the highly acclaimed Bolney Wine Estate's award-winning Cuvée Noir, a unique, traditional method, sweet sparkling red wine. Aromas are reminiscent of red fruits, especially red cherry, red currants and sweet blueberries, and on the palate, this lovely sparkling red has a wonderful creamy richness and full-bodied mousse, packed full of ripe summer fruits, with just a hint of sweet spice on the finish. £30 from Bolney Wine Estate.

Francone Metodo Classico Valsellera Sparkling Nebbiolo Rosé Brut NV

This unique, UK-exclusive sparkling rosé from award-winning winemaker Fabrizio Francone is a wonderful Valentine's Day celebration drink. It is made from Nebbiolo, which is normally reserved for the legendary reds of Piedmont: Barolo and Barbaresco, and produced using the classic method – similar to the way Champagne is made. The grapes were hand-harvested in late summer from the winemaker’s family vineyard in Neive. After crushing, the juice was left in contact with the skins for a few hours to absorb the distinctive Nebbiolo flavours, and then fermented at 16°C. Finally, it was aged in the bottle on its lees for three years – a very long period for a rosé. This extended ageing smoothened the muscular and coarse tannins Nebbiolo is famous for, and helped the wine to develop a velvety, delicate character. To taste it is fresh, crisp and dry, with a long finish and notes of raspberry, wild strawberry, vanilla and toasted bread. £27.45 from Independent Wines

Feudi di Guagnano, Rosarò 2019 | Salice Salentino Negroamaro Rosato DOC

This is another wonderful wine that's perfect for Valentine's Day. An old vine Negroamaro rosé with a vibrant coral shade, it's dry and crisp and complex, with lovely notes of fresh raspberry, cranberry, and a hint of sea salt. Only 6,000 bottles of this Rosarò are produced per year. This unique wine offers a much higher flavour concentration than a typical rosé – you can almost sense aromas of Negroamaro rosso in the glass. This is because the winemaker uses long skin contact to obtain a deep flavour profile and luminous colour, setting this rosé apart from the others. But most importantly, during winemaking, they separate the best 30% of the fermented wine and use it to produce Rosarò. The rest is used for other, less premium wines. £14.95 from Independent Wines.

Villa Maria 2020 Earth Garden Rose

Earth Garden is Villa Maria's wonderful new range of wines made from organic and sustainable vineyards. This delicate, summer provoking rose has aromas of blood-orange, rosehip and watermelon. The palate is rich and moreish, finishing refreshingly dry. £11.99 From Noble Grape.

Les Amours d’Haut Gléon Rosé 2020, Vignobles Foncalieu

From the attractive white thermo cherub design on the bottle to the pretty blushing pink - this excellent Pays d'Oc wine speaks romance. Pretty, cream, peach and floral aromas lead on to crisp white fruit with hints of red currants and crunchy red apples. A classic blend of Grenache and Syrah cultivated on clay and limestone, the wine has both freshness and ripeness. An attractive start to an evening with some pink aperitifs; try with smoked salmon or a classic prawn cocktail. £7.99 from The Drinks Basket
